Business Plan to Capture Opportunities in Repreneurship Across Quebec

Mandate and context

The issue of business transfer is poised to become a critical socio-economic concern for Quebec in the coming years. This significance arises from the aging demographic and the prevalence of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in the economic landscape, which renders the transfer process notably intricate. Against this backdrop, the client was tasked with assuming a more substantial role and augmenting its presence in Quebec's market for significant business transfers. Volume10 was enlisted to conceptualize a business plan that would facilitate the realization of this mission to expand its services.

Implementation and solutions

For this mandate, Volume10 first conducted an internal assessment of the organization's operating mode, as well as a review of its activities. In order to solidify the organization's future role, Volume10 met with key players in the Quebec buyout ecosystem and conducted over 40 interviews with entrepreneurs who had recently sold or bought businesses, economic development agents, lawyers and tax specialists. At the same time, Volume10 conducted a series of workshops with members of the organization's executive committee and board of directors to define an achievable growth strategy and a business plan that would be in synergy with the fields of action of the various players in the ecosystem.

Impact and outcomes

Increased intelligence on the target market, as well as a significant increase in market share, are the two main impacts of Volume10's work when conceptualizing the organization's business plan.
